Biographical note: Alice Ferno Woods married William Lutley on February 14, 1890 in Tombstone. William Lutley came to Tucson in 1881, engaged in hauling lumber and freighting and was a partner in the Swisshelm Cattle Company. Three brothers, Henry, Arthur and Fred joined him in Arizona. Alice's brother Henry Morgan Woods was in the lumber business in the Chiricahua Mountains, was foreman of the Contention Mine until 1892, then moved to Bisbee as a carpenter for the Copper Queen Mining Company.
